Several years ago I did a series of stories and crafts concerning the leprechauns’ visit to The Thicket… the place our local gnomes call home. I often get emails about this, especially at this time of year, and thought it would be a bit of a hoot to gather the stories together in one place. So, if you are like me, and enjoy a bit of storytelling and a bit of mischief, grab your favorite libation or a cuppa something warm and have yourself a wee St. Paddy’s Day read! Make sure to follow the links to read all about The Leprechaun’s Shenanigans in The Thicket!

And, if you have a favorite story or tale to tell about leprechaun mischief occurring in your neck of the woods, please share in the comments. We’d love to hear your stories, too!

MEET THE GNOME LEPRECHAUNS

You might be more familiar with the appearance of city leprechauns that tend to don top hats or bowlers, but their country cousins prefer wide brimmed gnomish hats. You can read more about The Thicket’s gnomes, plus directions on how to make your own HERE.

BRITTA’S LAMENT

While Britta packs away her Valentine’s Day dishes, she can’t help thinking about the next holiday in The Thicket… St. Patrick’s Day. You can read all about her lament HERE.

TROUBLE IN THE LARDER

Although the wee ones and menfolk welcome the visits from the leprechauns, the womenfolk usually don’t share their enthusiasm. They know that their will a heaping serving of Tom Foolery and most certainly it will disrupt their well-ran households. You can read all about the trouble in the larder HERE.

SLEEPING OUT

While the leprechauns are visiting, you never know what is going to happen next. Although their pranks are mischievous, sometimes they aren’t so bad. Read about this high jinx HERE.

8 DAYS AND COUNTING

You simply have no idea of what to expect with the leprechauns in The Thicket. Check out what Britta woke up to this morning HERE.

A SURPRISE FOR BRITTA

Although Britta has been counting down the days until the leprechauns leave The Thicket, is it possible she might miss them… even a little bit? You can read about it HERE

We hope you enjoyed this wee visit to The Thicket. Hope you have a lovely St. Patrick’s Day full of smiles and merriment!
